Kind of disappointing. I don't know. Tool and Depeche Mode are awesome. But in my mind, the bigger names just aren't there this year. Maybe just in comparision to last year. There's still the token Canadian bands that are going to be playing in front of Canadians. The undercard is pretty strong, Go! Team, Wolf Parade, MATES OF STATE, Walkmen, Animal Collective. Maybe I'm just in a grumpy mode anyways. I'll take another look at this in a couple of hours.

the machine needs new food. we are the food.

So the Coachella line-up was supposed to be announced today but wasn't. Rumour has it that the 2nd day headliner backed out at the last second postponing the announcement. Now supposedly this headliner was the Smashing Pumpkins. Oh well...just have to wait another day to find out what's going down.

The Federick's for dinner tonight was orgasmic. I just wanted to keep eating because it was so good. Flavour is so good in my stomach, I wish Windsor could keep up with these new waves of cooking. Garlic hasn't filtered its way down here yet. I wonder if it's made its way to London.

I came home from school today depressed and worried about the future. I had three classes today, two of which were based on the fact that environmental engineers are ultimately useless because nobody listens to them and companies build irregardless of environmental impact; present or future. So you can either do work that no one cares about or you can go work for Exxon and sell your soul to the devil.

Nerd Alert

Fun With Cornstarch and Water

That was pretty cool.

Next time that I'm back in Toronto, we all need to get out together for Ethiopian food. I had some of that last night, and by golly, it was awesome. Especially this butter chicken-like food. And plenty of vegetarian options too. Really impressive.

I also had a French Martini last night. I can already hear at least one of you saying, "Damn it James. Why do you have be such a loser?" I was at a martini bar, so give me a break. Another drink where there was absolutely no taste of alcohol.

And my dad came down today, with enough food from Scarborough to feed me for the week. Samosas from A1, Curry/Noodles/Green Beans from Federick's, Some Indian stuff from somewhere (I'm sure it's awesome), and some bagels from Bathurst. I've got nothing to complain about now.

This is going to be awesome.

no more microwave dinners and saturated fats

8:30 starts are killing me. I'm definitely going to bed after writing this. Nothing wrong with going to bed at 10:30, right?

Fuck it. I'm too tired to write anything meaningful. See you in the morning.

It Was A Cool House

I am no longer editing these posts for spelling or grammar. Deal with it.

Drunken thought from Friday:

Why is gas called gas if when you put it in the car it's a liquid?
I'm just glad I asked Ariel that instead of Peter. He would've hit me.

He sits, cold and nervous, awaiting the inevitable. Lights that were once familiar to him grow distant as he tries to recollect. Fields of wheat and barley, the fresh aroma of shit. Words no longer have meaning. It's the senses that hold all the answers.

I'm just comin' here to come down
I could be here
I could move town

Forced to live like it's a curfew
Translation: It means I love you

Major Label Debut - Broken Social Scene

Not Edited For The Sake Of Clarity

Think of the people in your life. Now imagine you met them in a different environment, a different setting, a different time. Would your friends from school still be your friends if you met them through work? Would you be dating your present partner if you had met in high school or through university?

We all have numerous characteristics that others don't see simply because of timing. As far as all you know, I could be universally reviled here in Windsor but you never get to see that side of me. Maybe if I had met one of you through my summer job, maybe some of my behaviour at work would've rubbed you the wrong way. But you've never seen me in a work environment.

Is it that we keep things hidden out of view or is it that when the other "side" comes through we just tend to ignore it as a one-off issue?

The End Of The World...

7 courses this semester make me sad.

You think this blog is being neglected? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Kill me.
